RETURN TO AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND IN 2027
Gillian Welch & David Rawlings return to Australia and New Zealand in February 2027, completing a three-year Southern Hemisphere odyssey to visit all parts of the countries.
Those adventures have taken the beloved Grammy Award-winning duo from the stages of Sydney and Melbourne in 2025, to a run down the East Coast of Australia and Adelaide in 2026, and now it's time for Western Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
The iconic Americana artists will perform 10 shows beginning in Perth, then over to Launceston, Forth, Queenstown and Hobart in Tasmania and finish up in New Zealand with shows in Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Wellington and Christchurch.
The 2027 tour marks Gillian Welch & David Rawlings’ first-ever performances in Tasmania and New Zealand’s South Island, as well as their first shows in Western Australia and New Zealand in more than a decade.
With a sound deeply rooted in traditional Appalachian music, bluegrass, country, folk and Americana, Welch & Rawlings have forged one of contemporary music’s most distinctive and enduring partnerships. Their spare, timeless songs and extraordinary musicianship have earned them a devoted audience across generations, while their influence continues to ripple through the modern Americana and folk landscape.
